1941 FORD BUSINESS COUPE In the early 1980s Paul Bush purchased this excellent 1941 Ford business coupe in the Austin, Texas (although the previous owner listed on the Texas title indicated that it came from Waurika, Oklahoma). After driving the car to a few shows, Paul spent almost $20,000 having the engine rebuilt, new upholstery installed, completely repainted, and added an under dash air conditioner that helped make the car the vehicle of choice for traveling to numerous car shows over the next twenty years. In 2007, the car won 2nd Place in the 35th Annual New Mexico Antique Tour. In 2022, the Paul Bush Estate removed the car from the climate-controlled showroom where it was kept when it was not being driven. Travis Waggoner transported the coupe to his shop where fresh fuel and oil, brake service, battery, and fuel pump returned it to service. According to Waggoner, “the original Lockheed brakes have been fully serviced with a new master cylinder, wheel cylinders and shoes. Residual pressure valves were added to improve the pedal feel, giving confident, reliable stopping power.”The car starts easily, steers and rides smoothly at speed on the freeway. Speedometer stopped working at 14,113 miles. Air conditioner blower works but compressor may need to be replaced. Bid with confidence.HERE IS YOUR CHANCE TO OWN A PIECE OF HISTORY FROM JUST BEFORE OUR COUNTRY ENTERED WORLD WAR II.
