Probably cleanest 47 Chevy Fleetmaster you’ll find. Older restoration with a new paint job at that time then brought back to life from storage. I drive this car atleast once a week absolutely no issues with driving this car. Very little if any rust. Engine starts right up drives and shifts smoothly. Everything works on this car. All the engine and transmission needed was new gaskets and seals. Did 12 volt electronic ignition uprade along with 12 volt alternator with new plugs, wires, dist. cap and flame thrower coil. Carburetor cleaned new gaskets with seals and overhaul kit. New starter and battery. New aluminum radiator. hoses and belt. All new engine and transmission mounts. Upgraded chrome valve cover. Brakes all gone thru new shoes, wheel cyl.,hardware and brakes bled pedal is solid. New fuel tank, fuel pump and filter. Glass all good – replaced pass side glass – all roll up down smoothly back and front. Interior 95% orig. looks well taken care of. Seats have a few small tears along edges. Door panels along with headliner show very little wear. Carpet is dated but also shows little wear. Dash was repainted, rewired and all new gauges installed – temp, amp and fuel gauges all work. Speedo, turn signals, horn, heater and even cig. lighter all work. Odometer stuck on 06069 was that way when bought but speedo works fine. Upgraded wipers to 12volt electric and work very well. Radio upgraded from Classic Car Stereos with new speakers and still have the original tube radio which turns on but no sound. Replaced clock with a Quartz type still have the windup orig. that actually works. I’d give the paint and body atleast a 9 on this car – shines up nice with very few noticeable scratches or chips if any. I’d have to say the 216 engine in this car has had a recent rebuild the way it starts right up, accelerates and runs really smooth for it’s age – no paperwork on that when bought. Older muffler still in good shape. Tires still have lots of tread not alot of wear. Still had to do a lot of work to get this car 100% roadworthy but was well worth it and now I drive it once a week. I did install a Tom Tom above dash pretty handy and easily removable. Recommend you drive this car to see how it runs – think you’ll be impressed.
