1948 Dodge Deluxe Sedan Blue RWD Manual
This is a time capsule! Interior is original with some flaws but good condition. The engine is flathead 6, single barrel, oil sump filter, and 6v positive ground electrical.
The transmission is 3 spread on the column with in line torque converter. This enables you to stop and go without the clutch. It doesn’t shift automatically but the predecessor to our modern automatic transmissions.
The undercarriage has been treated with a rustproofing and the body had a respray about 10 to15 years ago. The front and rear bumpers have issues that could use re-chroming.
The car starts and drives, though the steering is 73 years old along with brakes and horsepower.
It currently has bias ply tires that should be replaced by new owner.
This is a great car to cruise for ice cream on Friday night.
80159 on the odometer that is believed to be original. The engine runs smooth and no overheating. The clutch chatters a little moving from a stopped position but works great otherwise. This is pretty common.
