Gateway Classic Cars of Chicago is proud to present this 1949 Nash Ambassador. The Ambassador saw a redesign in ’49 making for a more modern look.
This Ambassador has the option to have the front seats fold won as a way for traveling sales people to limit their expenses on hotels while on the road.
An original pair of Nash branded twin mattresses even come with the car!
Though in mostly original shape, this example has been repainted at some point in its life. Within the last 3,000 miles the engine was also rebuild and it runs like a top!
The owners manual comes with the vehicle as well as several vintage advertisements mounted on poster board for display at car shows. The 3-speed manual shifts smoothly, the engine starts up easily, the brakes stop the car drama-free, and the steering is straight and effortless.
