full custom chopped and molded 1949 Cadillac two door (model 62) that was made into a hardtop. Gorgeous body lines and built by a tattoo artist in Virginia, thirty years ago. I purchased the car in June of 1997, so I’ve personally owned it for over twenty years. It basically lives indoors, and probably hasn’t been wet more than six times since I’ve owned it. I only wash it with the waterless spray. It really never gets dirty, just dusty. There are many custom features and modifications done to this beautiful car, way too many to describe in this ad. The car was painted Cadillac pearl white in 1994, so the paint is not perfect, but certainly a nice ten footer. The new owner will at some point want to refresh the paint work, but should enjoy it the way it is for quite some time, then take it to the next level. If the new owner is capable of doing the paint work himself, he has a great body to start with.
The engine is a 1994 Chevrolet tune-port out of a 27,000 mile Z-28, complete with fuel injection, and the 4L60e automatic transmission. The computer was modified by Howell, who also supplied the wiring harness. The drive train does not have more than 30K miles on it now, in total, and it runs perfect. Power steering, power front disc brakes with a Nova front clip, brand new Generation 4 heat and a/c system, from Vintage Air, just installed. Serpentine belt system. Power windows, G.M. tilt column, White leather Banjo wheel, TEA’s front seats, Pioneer stereo with C/D, brand new floor carpeting just installed, along with new front seat belts. Four brand new Diamondback Radial wide white walls with less than 250 miles on them. Front wheels are wire, while the rears are just chrome, but barely show. The grille is a 1959 Chrysler Imperial, the headlights are Jaguar. The tail-lights are the original Cad units that were sectioned down lower in the quarter panels, and yes, the gas filler is still located behind the left tail-light. The dash is from a Firebird, the shifter is from Lokar. Virginia law, at the time this car was built, required manual access from outside of the car (NO ELECTRIC POPPERS). The outer door handles are from a Renault Fuego. The trunk is fully upholstered to match the inside of the car. The quarter windows slide out, and there are special storage bags in the trunk area to safely store them, the 1/4 windows are Lexan/Plexi.
