Listing this 1949 Mercury Sedan for my friends dad. We spent a few weeks making sure she’s solid – which didn’t take much. With the original flathead V8 (255 ci) and standard transmission (three on the tree), she operates just as she should.
Recently we had the starter rebuilt, new OEM Motorcraft battery and fuel pump installed. Also had new door sensors installed and re-wired. Car was upgraded from 6 volt to 12 volt (with new alternator installed) when restored in late 2013/early 2014.
The car was professionally appraised in August – 2014 and was valued at $27,500. Most of the vehicle details can be seen on that report, which is included in the photos. The car has since spent most of the time since collecting dust in the garage and being driven on occasion.
