Check out this 1941 Ford Business Coupe and you may start to do Moonshine runs again. The 1941 Ford looks all stock but has some interesting upgrades that make it a really good driver with a lot of performance.
She is powered by a ’51 Flathead V8 8BA block with a Mercury crank and a .100 overbore making it a 271cui engine. Adjustable lifters, an Isky 400 Jr cam, aluminum heads and three Stromberg carburetors deliver the power to a Tremec T5 5Speed transmisson and then to a brand new Quick Performance 9″ rear end with 3,50 differential.
The stock front axle was dropped and the on the rear this Coupe is running a parallel leaf spring setup. The front brakes have Lincoln backing plates with self energizing drums and truck drums in the back.
As you can imagine the Ford was converted to 12V, it also has working turn signals. The body and frame are in fantastic shape with no rust anywhere, the paint looks very presentable as well with some minor flaws here and there. The new interior looks and feels fantastic, and just adds to the fun of driving it.
The Ford will fire right up and sounds awesome with a slightly lumpy idle that converts into a nice growl when you get on it. The 5 Speed makes it a great driver, even longer drives on the interstate are no problem.
If you looking for a really good driver that has kept the old school looks and is powered by a Flathead V8 check out this one you will be amazed!
