Up for bid is a 1946 Dodge WD 15 pickup with a rare telephone lineman’s utility box on the back. It was rescued from a farmers field back in 1991 and spent the next 3 years in the auto body shop of a local high school in Milwaukee, WI. During that time it went through a frame off restoration to the point where it was drive-able and even licensed. The interior was never finished though. The current seat is from a 1975 Chevy Suburban. The inline 6 cylinder engine was rebuilt and given many new parts including a crank kit (.020 over) a valve job, new clutch and rebuilt carburetor. Also new brakes, wheels and tires were added as well as a fresh paint job. It was then driven from the high school to an indoor storage facility at a local boat yard. The next 23 years saw no additional work being done on the truck. It’s time for this project to finally be completed. The first 12 photos show the truck as is is today. The last 12 photos were taken in the early 90’s at the high school where the restoration was started. This truck is being sold as is and where is with no warranty. It currently is not running as it needs a new battery and some other minor adjustments. Check out the before and after pictures to see how much work has already been done. The inside of the box contains many parts including headlights, grill trim, window glass and other items.
