For sale is a 1949 Kaiser Frazer sedan. Straight 6, 3 won the tree manual transmission with overdrive. Quiet engine, no knocks or strange noises. She will cruise down the highway with the rest of the traffic at 65 mph and makes you forget she’s 77 years old. Head lights, turn signals, brake lights and dash lights all work.Speedometer and odometer not working. Heater and defroster work fine.
Interior is clean but dated. Dash is complete and the steering wheel is in good condition. Carpet was replaced by previous owner. Driver’s seat has 2 holes on the bench. Rear seat has professionally installed seat cover so I have no idea what it looks like underneath. Door panels are good, although the bottom of driver’s door panel shows wear. All glass is clear and without cracks or haze. Body shows no major dents or dings and there is minimal rust. Paint has faded and worn thin but an application of Poppy’s Patina has brought back some shine and luster. Tires are good, with wide white walls.
All in all, she’s a nice example of post-war auto manufacturing. Fun to drive and gets plenty of attention and thumbs up.
